Football and Business?

I think we could all learn a lot from this kid. He plays high school football and has the wisdom of a 90 year-old man. There are many truths in what he says - watch the video and learn. My takeaways are posted below the video.

My takeaways from the video:

1. "It is ok to start slow because sometimes in life, you start slow..." but you can always finish fast.

When you're starting a business, you will be working, a lot. You may may some family vacations, holidays, and special moments because your work takes you away. You may not see the rewards right away...things may be going slow, but at least they are going. Starting slow can indeed meaning finishing fast and finishing well. You can succeed, do not let a slow start trick you into believing otherwise.

2. All it takes to be successful is an attitude.

You need a "work hard and take no excuses" attitude to succeed in life. Once you believe this and once you truly use that attitude in everyday life, nothing can stop you.

3. It is an awesome feeling when you feel you will be successful, because you put in all the time and hard work.

Encourage yourself - no one loves your idea and vision more than YOU. And when you put in all that time and hard work and are then successful, you will feel even better. Let your love for yourself and your drive to be successful push you to new heights!

4. If you lose the game, continue to smile and work hard.

A loss one day does not equal a loss for everyday. If you fall, get back up, dust yourself off, and try again. You will never know until you try..and try..and try...then succeed. Success does not come easily.

5. Never give up on your dreams. If you fall, people will be there to help you up. It iwill be alright.

The greatest failure is giving up. If something goes wrong, the true test is choosing whether or not to get back up and try again. Do not be the type of person who gives up when the going gets tough - you must continue to push yourself!

What is your takeaway from this video and this post? Do you think Apollos made any great points? If you could share one thing from this video, what would it be?
